At the first time i come to USM I'm very excited because USM is one of best university in Malaysia. I was offered in course Town Planning. I really scared because i admit that I'm not good in sketching. to be a good planner they must have a good skill in drawing. Oh Tuhan how i want to face all of this project i don't have a good skill in drawing. i felt so sad n my feeling start goes down. for project 1 we should sketch our own portrait and i don't know why we should sketch this, maybe there must be a reason why we need to sketch our own portrait. this !st project become my nightmare, start with project one i always try to draw anything during my free time. i try to practise more in drawing.

Every week we got a new project and i try my best to draw nicely but some time i feel it awful..haha i admit i not satisfy with my drawing till now, but always try to improve.

When we get a new project i know i cant sleep like other normal human being,because HBP stand for HANTU BALIK PAGI always awake at night.I had been overnight in studio for many nights and I don't  remember how many nights i stay up there. when i get back to hostel my roommate always said " Alin slalu xde kat bilik tinggal orang sorang2" SORRY dear i don't have any intention to leave u alone at night. Studio life is so horrible to me at the first time but it turn to be good because all of us always stay there from night to morning. So many people around there and studio life make me start to know each other from different major. Sometime we share our life experience and share FOOD also.hehehe :)

This subject teach me better skill in drawing and  how to make a good site analysis, build model,perspective drawing and presentation board.Everything i had learned in studio RUS104  can't be describe by words. So i would like to THANKFUL to all my studio master P.M Dr Nurwati Badarulzaman, Cik Diana and DR Mazran Ismail because gave us a lot guidance and lead us very well.

This is the last project for us that is Performance & Awards night + Dinner. for this project each major need  perform at this night. The theme was an unique theme that is  "The Lost Kingdom"  and our major Town Planning are given Langkasuka as our kingdom. We spent  almost one week to prepare for our performance night. For clothing,some of us bought cloth and some of us sew our costume by ourselves especially the male student and the dancer.

Hello everybody..yeahhhh this is xzbition day..i feel so happy,why?why? and why I'm so happy? because i will done all my project & the most important i can off the zombie life..yeahh i can back to be normal human being right..hehehe :)

Ok actually this event also include in our project, we're required to display the best studioworks of our members (Project 1 to Project 6) base on our major.

For this project, our theme is ‘floating lines' every major need to design their booth, Town Planning is sharing the same booth with Interior Design. Our major try to cooperate with ID team to create the best decoration on our booth. Alhamdulilah my studiowork was selected and display almost every section in Town Planning booth, so i would like to say THANK U to my studiomaster because satisfied and selected my studiowaork :) .

PROJECT 6: AMPHITHEATRE STAGE (MODEL)

For this project, we need to build a model base on presentation drawing and use the scale of the model is (1:5 scale). Our group are very unity and work together to build this model. Every person take a part and join for done this project. We face a lot of challenges when we constructing our model base on our design, at the first our roof can't be stand because our roof shape is curve, i start notice that our curve are very long So the span can not support and more compression and less tensile. So we sit together and start discuss our problem.I give some idea how to create a tensile for this curve roof. Alhamdulilah it work it and this roof can stand properly. For interior we try to create different to other group, so get the idea and say why we don't try to made traditional instrument and my friend Firaz come out with idea to made Wayang Kulit as our human figure.

I also feel thank full because our group member give fully commitment to done this project. Everyone's willing to face this pain in order to achieve the gain. I would like to say CONGRATULATION DIVERSONE and all of u are superb groupmates for this project.

INTRODUCTION

This course exposes students to the basic understanding of elements and principles of design. Students will be trained in all basic aspects of design, graphic principles, media of presentations, types of drawings, lettering, sketching, 2D & 3D drawing techniques, complete presentation drawings and model making. This course also trains students to enhance their creativity and perception through design process that involves the development of design concept, the application of design principles and problem-solving approach and thus effective communication of design ideas. By integrating the skills of design with the basic knowledge of structure and services, material, construction methods and simple costing, the transdisciplinary guided students are expected to be able to design objects and sustainable small-scale building from early planning stages right up to the production of presentation drawings with the clear understanding of the contribution of various disciplines in the built environment.
 
OBJECTIVES

The course aims to train prospective students in the field of built environment to appreciate the value of aesthetics through design that consider the various fields of knowledge in built environment and use it as an important aspect in the planning and creating of objects, space, and small structures in sync with the environment.
